Jane Wilson

York

Jane lives in a quiet cul-du-sac just off a main road close to York town centre. She is a qualified primary school teacher, and also teaches English to international students staying with her for short programmes. She has been hosting students since 2013.

Jane is very experienced in working with children and understands the impact of cultural differences. She works flexible hours and when she has guests she is at home most of the time. She lives with her two children, aged 7 and 8 (as of November 2016) and in their spare time the family enjoy playing sports and being active. Jane can cater for wide range of food requirements and is more than happy to spend time with students or to pick them up from school or the train station.

Jane’s house is a beautiful three-storey modern building about 20 minutes’ walk from York’s historic centre. There is a supermarket not far from the house as well as a bus stop with services running into town and to the train station. Jane has three spare bedrooms to offer students, situated on the ground and first floors. There is a bathroom exclusively for guests’ use, WiFi is available and Jane is happy to do students’ laundry.
