Ran

Reading

Ran is an emergency nurse at Royal Berkshire Hospital and her husband Kebin works in IT. Originally from China, they have been in the UK for more than 20 years and completed a degree at UK universities. They have a good understanding of cultural differences and is well equipped to offer support, guidance and care to students. They have been provided a welcoming home to Chinese students since Covid pandemic. They speaks both English and Chinese to native/fluent standard.

Ran and Kebin are caring parents and live with their two children, Judy and Andy, who attend local secondary schools. They conduct a lot of additional tuition with her children and can help students with Maths or Science. The family enjoys spending time together walking their friendly dog, playing lots of sports, particularly badminton and students are very welcome to join them in family meals, weekend and evening activities. Ran is a very good cook specialising in traditional Chinese dishes.

The family live in a comfortable five bedroom / three bathrooms end of terrace house in a residential area of Reading with convenient transport links to Reading town centre (by bus), Reading Station and Elizabeth Line underground. There are two rooms offered to students. There are shops within walking.
