Fang

Staines-upon-Thames, near Heathrow

Fang is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Sciences at Brunel University, London. Originally from China, Fang has been in the UK for more than 20 years and completed a degree at Edinburgh University in this time. She has a good understanding of cultural differences and is well equipped to offer support, guidance and care to students. She speaks both English and Chinese to native/fluent standard.

Fang is a caring parent and lives with her two sons, Dawei Sun and Yiyang Sun, who attend local primary schools. She conducts a lot of additional tuition with her sons, and as a result her eldest son Dawei Sun has passed his entrance test into prestigious Harrow School where he will be enrolling very soon. The family enjoys spending time together and students are very welcome to join them in family meals, weekend and evening activities. Both boys love having students around and help mum to make them feel most welcome.

The family live in a comfortable four-bedroom detached house in a residential area of Surrey, close to both Heathrow airport and London orbital which are convenient for travel to many destinations. There are two rooms offered to students – one single and one double. There is a small grocery shop within walking distance and Fang is happy to drive students into town to bigger supermarkets and high-street stores (10-15 minutes drive away).
