Stoke Bishop, near Bristol
Amal and David live in the quiet residential area of Stoke Bishop, three miles from Bristol and about ten minutes’ drive from Clifton College. Amal is a qualified social worker with many years of experience working with troubled teenagers, while her husband David is a local postman who grew up in Bristol. The couple have a daughter who lives and works nearby and often visits the family at home.
Amal, who speaks fluent English, French and Arabic, is currently taking a break from her career and enjoying time at home. She is happy to cater to a wide range of food requirements, and is flexible with meal times. She can also give students lifts to places around Bristol or pick them up from school or the airport.
Amal and David’s home is a modern, spacious, semi-detached house a few minutes’ walk from Sea Mills train station (from where trains run regularly to Bristol Temple Meads). There are shops nearby, as well as a bus stop that give students easy access to Bristol city-centre and its wide range of shopping facilities, restaurants and cafes.
The family have two spare bedrooms to offer students, each with a double/single bed, wardrobe and a bedside table. The house has a dining room, a large and comfortable living room exclusively for guests, a beautiful garden and a range of amenities such as WiFi and a washing machine for students to use.
