Anne Rusworth

Henstridge, near Sherborne

Anne lives in the small rural village of Henstridge (Somerset), near the historic town of Sherborne. She is a widow and has two children, three grandchildren, and three friendly dogs. Previously the registrar at Sherborne School for Girls, she has been hosting overseas students of all nationalities for 21 years.

Anne is a very friendly and warm person. In her spare time she enjoys long walks with her dogs and spending time with her friends and family. She loves having children in the house, is more than happy to cater for wide range of food requirements, and enjoys taking her guests for walks or on shopping trips.

Anne’s home is a spacious detached house, 10-15 minutes from Templecombe train station (a 70 minute train ride to London Waterloo). There are local buses 10-15 minutes away that take students into the busy town of Yeovil where they can make the most of shopping facilities, restaurants and cafes, as well as a cinema, bowling alley, swimming pool and fitness centre. Meanwhile Henstridge itself has a post office and shop.

Anne has three spare bedrooms to offer to students. The house has a dining room/breakfast room, a large and comfortable living room, a study and a garden. WiFi and a washing machine are available for students to use.
